SPEEDWAY, Ind. — NASCAR returns to one of its most prestigious stages this weekend as the Cup Series heads to the historic 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Sunday’s Brickyard 400, one of the sport’s crown-jewel events.
The race marks the 22nd points-paying event of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season and the third race of the inaugural NASCAR In-Season Challenge. The green flag is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET with live coverage on TNT Sports, truTV, HBO Max, the IMS Radio Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
With only five races remaining before the Chase begins, every point is becoming increasingly valuable. Sunday’s race also carries extra significance as one of NASCAR’s most iconic victories, with drivers earning the opportunity to kiss the famous Yard of Bricks after 400 miles around the legendary oval.
Drivers to Watch
Joey Logano enters Indianapolis with momentum after winning last weekend at North Wilkesboro, while Chase Briscoe continues to lead the NASCAR.com Power Rankings following one of the strongest stretches of his career.
Kyle Larson remains one of the favorites after winning the Brickyard 400 in 2025, while Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, Ross Chastain and Chase Elliott headline a stacked field featuring the sport’s top championship contenders.
Goodyear is also introducing a new right-side tire compound for this year’s race following testing at Indianapolis earlier this summer, creating another variable teams will need to manage throughout Sunday’s 400-mile event.
